AWARDS

Savannah Nelson

Overall MVP

Savannah Nelson, #30

Pitcher, First Base

Savannah delivered a great performance throughout the Fall 2019 season. Savannah batted .453 with a team leading slugging percentage of .792 and team leading OPS (on-base % plus slugging %) of 1.315. Savannah hit two "over the fence" home runs and compiled 21 RBIs; 18 runs scored; and only six strikeouts. Savannah batted in the power hitting slots in the lineup (#3; #4; or #5) and regularly delivered offensive for the Sharks.

Savannah also demonstrated outstanding pitching leading the team with innings pitched (43); strikeouts (38); and a phenomenal 2.250 WHIP (walks and hits average by inning)! With great movement on her breaking pitches, she confounded many batters this season. Savannah's outstanding pitching and reliable defensive play at first base recorded numerous outs every game. Congratulations Savannah for being this season's Overall MVP.

Dani Kott

Offensive MVP

Allie Berreth

Defensive MVP

Dani Kott, #4

Second Base

Dani demonstrated her talents on both offensive and defensive - but it was her team leading .488 batting average where she shined. Dani recorded 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored with only two strikeouts all Fall. Dani showed her versatility through hitting the outfield gaps; bunting; and using her speed to beat throws to first base. Dani's versatility allowed the coaching staff to have her lead off or bat in the cleanup position. Also, Dani was a significant threat on the basepaths and would routinely score from second base on a single to the outfield. Congratulations Dani!

Allie Berreth, #2

Shortstop

Allie was also considered for Offensive honors given her .421 average, "over the fence" home runs (2) , and 17 RBIs. As good as her offensive performance was, her defensive performance was even better. Allie played almost every inning this Fall at shortstop. She's tough as nails - taking bumps and bruises - but refusing to give up or give less than 100%. Allie registered 63 putouts and even executed a few double plays. Allie is a very smart player and a true leader on the team who makes players around her better. A great teammate, leader, and positive influence. Congratulations Allie!
